Custom Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)

For Enterprise Admins

This guide shows Enterprise Administrators how to create and manage custom access roles to enforce strict security and governance policies across the platform.

Granular Permission Control

While the standard SaaS platform offers only predefined roles (like Admin, Developer, Business User) , the Enterprise feature allows you to define custom roles with highly granular control over specific actions and resources. This is key for managing access in complex enterprise environments.

Create a Custom Role

  1. Access Role Management: Navigate to the Enterprise Features section in the main navigation and select RBAC/Role Management.

  2. Initiate Role Creation: Click the Create Role button.

  3. Name the Role: Give your custom role a clear, unique name (e.g., "Compliance Reviewer," "Workflow Architect").

Create Role
  1. Define Permissions: Select the specific permissions the role will have. You can grant access at a highly granular level.

    • Examples of Permissions: Ability to Delete Agents, Access to Production Deployment Settings, View Monitoring Dashboards, etc.

Permission Selection Checklist
  1. Create and Manage: Once permissions are selected, click Create Role.

    • You can now view, manage, and delete the custom role from the main Role Management list.

Create Role - Assign Permission
  1. Assign the Role: Go to User Management (or Invite Users) and assign the newly created custom role to individual users.
